Take a ghost walk through Davidson
DAVIDSON ??Virginia Grezch leads Ghost Walk Tours through Davidson.
Tours, ranging from 90 minutes to two hours, start at 7 p.m. daily in front of the Soda Shop, 104 S. Main St.
Tours cost $10 for adults and $5 for ages 8-12. Ages 8 and younger get in free.

MOORESVILLE ? Scarrigan Farms offers a haunted trail featuring an Old West mining town, forest ghouls, tragic school bus and corn maze. Guests will enjoy bonfires and music while they wait.
The event begins at sunset Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays, Oct. 12-Nov. 5, at Carrigan Farms, 1261 Oak Ridge Farm Hwy.

Find your way out of a maze
HUNTERSVILLE ??People use flashlights to navigate through a seven-acre corn maze at the Rural Hill Amazing Maize Maze.
The event takes place 6-9 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays through Nov. 4 at Rural Hill, 4431 Neck Road Huntersville.
Tickets cost $15 for ages 13 and older or $10 for ages 5-12. Ages 4 and younger get in free.
Proceeds are used to preserve the historic site.

Pick through a pumpkin patch
DAVIDSON ??Davidson United Methodist Church youth sell an assortment of carving pumpkins, decorative pumpkins and gourds, Indian corn, cornstalks and hay bales at their pumpkin patch.
The sale continues noon-8 p.m. weekdays and 10 a.m.-6 p.m.?Saturday-Sunday throughout October at the Molly McKay Youth House, 260 S. Main St.

SHERRILLS FORD ??The Friends of the Sherrills Ford Library holds its annual Community Fall Fest 10 a.m.- 2 p.m. Oct. 13 at the Sherrills Ford Branch Library, 8456 Sherrills Ford Road.
The free family-friendly event will include children?s games, prizes, crafts, face and pumpkin painting, cookie decorating, balloon sculpting, music, bake sale and used book sale.

Pick, paint pumpkins at festival

STATESVILLE ??Haunted Statesville features a walking downtown ghost tour full of old stories and legends from the city?s past.
Step beyond the beauty of Statesville?s downtown and discover its haunted history.
Each tour group will end at the Statesville Historic Collection, 212 S. Center St., where musicians Karla Causey Kincaid and Stewart Kincaid will sing about some of the city?s ghosts tales.
Tours run every half hour 6:30-8:30 p.m. Oct. 19-20 and 26-27.

Stretch for the Pumpkin Run 8K
MOORESVILLE ??Mooresville Recreation Department hosts its 13th annual Pumpkin Run 8K Road Race on Oct. 27 at the War Memorial Center, 220 N. Maple St.
Organizers are also offering a 2K Fun Run/Walk for ages 7 and older.
Runners and walkers will check-in at 7 a.m. on race day at the War Memorial Center. The 8K race begins at 9 a.m. The fun run/walk starts at 9:15 a.m. Raffle and awards will follow the race.
Registration costs $25 for the 8K and $15 for the 2K. Checks should be made payable to Mooresville Recreation Department.
